Mandatory certification for Indian manufacturers in notified product categories — steel, cement, electrical goods, packaged drinking water, and 800+ other IS standards.
Allows overseas manufacturers to obtain ISI Mark for products exported to India. BIS inspects the foreign factory; an Authorised Indian Representative (AIR) is mandatory.

Process
We identify the applicable IS standard and scheme (domestic BIS, FMCS, or CRS) for your product, and run a documentation gap analysis against BIS requirements.
We coordinate sample submission to a BIS-recognised or NABL-accredited lab, liaise on test queries, and track report delivery — usually the longest step.
We prepare and file the complete application package on the BIS portal, including factory details, quality manual references, and test reports.
For ISI Mark and FMCS, BIS officers conduct a factory inspection. We prepare your facility and team for the audit, and accompany the inspector on the day.
On approval, BIS issues the licence. We hand over all certified documents, set renewal alerts, and monitor for standard amendments that affect your product.
